At an undetermined date in September of 2010, I will be taking a test which will mark the end of my residency training and allow me to join the ranks of board certified Emergency and Critical Care veterinarians.

For a while, I have not thought about the test but after taking a pre-test today, I realize how little I know and how much hard work lies in my future. Just when I thought I could take things easy.

Like the good book say, It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is young. I know you may think different but I'm in the prime of my youth and I'm going for it with everything I have.

So here is saying goodbye to lounging, goofing off and having a life. It will be two more years of work, study and more work. But when that day in September comes, by God's special grace, I'll be ready to take that test and finally move on with the rest of my exciting life.

While I was leaving a comment on a different blog, I realized I had long ignored my blog. Certainly not on purpose but other things kinda came along and I actually forgot I had one. So much for being a blogger eh.

Just wanted to give a quick update from July of last year....wow, it really has been that long. God has been faithful. He's been very faithful and I am so unworthy of His grace. This is so you know and in a way to remind myself, He is a good God, eternally good and faithful. He never lets go of His own and His promises are always yes and Amen!

I love Columbia and I know God did bring me here for a purpose. When I applied for the residency position through the match, I knew I wanted to come here. I did not know anything about the program or the town but I just had a burning desire for Columbia and I ended up here. It is an awesome little town which is just perfect for me. A few months ago, I discovered an amazing Church ([www.christianfellowship.com]) and have met the most amazing people there so far. I cannot wait to see what God will do in me and through me. He has begun a good work and He WILL complete it. He certainly will.

Sadly, Dutchess my kitty ran away shortly after I moved here. I'm still hoping she'll come home someday. I did get a new dog (I know, I might need to have myself checked out). His name is Noah, he is a Kerry Blue terrier with a congenital neurologic disorder but he is the most adorable dog on the face of the earth. Gracie, Zoey and Duke are all doing amazing and they actually get to see their mum a lot more than they did in the last few years.

And that's a good enough summary. I am however pretty excited about the many blessings of God and I'll urge you all to take the most amazing adventure with Him.
